ETH is on track to eventually become deflationary. and it’s one of the most underrated parts of ethereum. here’s why upcoming upgrades massively strengthen ETH’s value: L2s are hitting ATH activity (Base, Lighter, Arbitrum, etc). most L2s post data as blobs → blob fees are paid in ETH → blob fees are burned. fusaka (PeerDAS) raises blob throughput 6 → 48, enabling far more L2 data. BUT, there’s a catch: PeerDAS increases node load (more data to verify). EIP-7928 removes the verifier bottleneck, making block verification predictable & fast. together, PeerDAS + 7928 let L2s run far heavier apps (like Lighter-level perps, high-frequency trading, etc.) More L2 activity → more blobs → more ETH burned → stronger ETH supply dynamics. today only Lighter is pushing blob burn in a significant capacity. but as more high-throughput apps launch on ethereum, the flywheel accelerates. ethereum’s scaling makes ETH stronger.
